FOWEY CLASSICS 2016

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
Eligible boats
Classic boats come in all shapes and sizes and  we welcome sailing (and rowing) dinghies, many larger vintage and contemporary classic yachts as well as the occasional traditional motor launch.

As a guide, eligible boats are any single hulled sailing craft with a four cornered mainsail (eg gaff, lug, sprit, gunter, squaresail), or lateen rig, regardless of the hull material or construction.

Any single hulled Bermudan rigged boat built of wood before 1965 or built of wood after 1965 but to a pre-1965 design. Bermudan boats built of GRP to a pre-1965 design may be accepted, upon application.

Any wooden pulling boat propelled by two or more oars or mechanically powered vessel built of wood pre-1965 with an inboard engine.Steam boats are welcomed.

If you are unsure of the eligibility of your boat please ask. We welcome well handled, nice looking boats, fit for purpose, and our Judges reward the best with Concours trophies. Fowey Classics, in their absolute discretion, reserve the right to accept or refuse any entry.
